A bit of a movie thing recently…

• There are news reports saying that Nolan want Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Cher as Catwoman in the new Batman movie….Cher? - as if the character hasn’t been ruined enough by Halle Berry they now want Cher as Catwoman? If this is true, then let the protests begin….Johnny Depp I could maybe deal with! - The only problem with these rumours is that Nolan hasn’t even signed for a 3rd Batman movie….
• The Watchmen seem to be in trouble - Warner Bros are arguing over who owns the rights to the movie…now it has been made - I smell a big payoff!!!
• Jumping on the comic bandwagon is the rumour that ‘The Boys’ is being turned into a movie - I love this series and think that it could be great! - I see Vinnie Jones as Butcher!! Next I would love to see Transmetropolitan as a movie!

It is always nice to have a nice lie-in on a Monday….the last time I had one must have been about 10 years ago!!!

*Sigh*

Oh well - I’ve had a bit of a quiet one this weekend. Going swimming at guildford Spectrum with the kids wore me out and I did sleep well!

We went to Richmond Park with the dog today and that was good fun…I can’t help wondering if the place would be more fun if they released some wild wolves, bears and beavers there though - as it used to be!

Oh well!

• During last month’s Comic-Con, footage was shown from the Hulk Vs. Wolverine animated movie. Apparently, Deadpool makes an appearance. One intrepid fan asked about the possibility of an animated Deadpool movie. Supervising producer and co-writer of the Hulk Vs. Wolverine movie, Craig Kyle, stated that the fans need to let the studio know what they want to see. The Deadpool Bugle suggests that if you support the idea of a Deadpool movie, you should contact Marvel Studios:

• I just saw the trailer for Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince ooOOoo! Spooky stuff - these movies are getting darker and darker!

Add to my list above Barry’s move from Aston Villa to Liverpool - after making himself cup-tied in Europe it seems he isn’t going anywhere either!

Last night I continued my Wii Fit campain. It doesn’t seem to be working as I have managed to put on 1lb since Monday! - Oh well only 7lbs to lose now!
Talking of the Wii - I will be getting rid of Mario Party for the new Star Wars game (Forced Unleashed). I can’t wait for the chance to be waving round a lightsabre!

 I am sort of re-starting my Chrysopeia story - instead of using doctored images I am now drawing my own!

A bit of a football related rant today….

Lets have a look at the players:

• Ronaldo - Man Utd - Real Madrid
• Kaka - Barcelona - Chelsea
• Rhonaldinho - Barcelona - Chelsea/Man City
• Eto - Barcelona - Chelsea/Spurs
• Lampard - Chelsea - Inter Milan
• Drogba - Chelsea - Barcelona
• Berbatov - Spurs - Man Utd
• Adebayor - Aresenal to AC Milan

That is a formidable list of players and would probably cost more than the third world debt in transfer fees….but they have one thing in common - none of them have happened.

The agents and papers are as much to blame as the players, after that the clubs join in too!

The agents think they can either get more money by (a) Forcing a move for the player, getting a percentage of signing on fees, wages and bonuses. (b) Getting an increased pay deal for the player from the current club (c) Selling the story to the papers. This goes for the players too.

The papers think they are being oh-so clever by working things out - EG Jose is managing Inter….he used to manage Chelsea….Lampard plays for Chelsea….Jose wants to sign Lampard - QED yes?

Then the clubs get in on it - for example - Berbatov: Nothing has been said about him leaving and Man Utd bring out a statement saying “….Berbatov is an excellent player, but is a Spurs player…..blah, blah, blah!”

This is really getting on my nerves, and this is why I try to emphasise to my son that you shouldn’t belive the rumours in the paper, no matter how big it says EXCLUSIVE!

Deadpool #1

• The Merc with a mouth is back! With a tie - in directly to “Secret Invasion” -  IGN Preview with images to boot!
  Personally this is something i’ve been waiting for - Deadpool is one of the few characters who can interact with anyone accross the MU

• Following the initial announcement of the movie, Fox announced that Wolverine will be joined by Weapon X members Beak, Sabretooth, Silver Fox, William Stryker, Agent Zero and John Wraith. As things progressed, new characters were added to the fold, but one was kept hidden until now.

  

  In recent months, it was revealed that Deadpool, Gambit, The Blob, and Scott Summers were added to the list of characters. What they didn’t tell us was that Emma Frost aka The White Queen would have a cameo appearance in Logan’s new origin story. As a matter of fact, the character does not appear in the IMDB profile, the movie’s profile on Marvel.com or the Wikipedia page.

• Mugabe honours head of elections!
  No sh*t  - perhaps after Mrs Mugabe wins Miss Zimbabwe he’ll honour the judges there too!
• Most parents will tell you that keeping your house clean after your have kids is next to impossible. Forget about the messes that your children actually cause, but when you try to clean the child is right behind you, bugging you to be picked up or for food. There must be a way to keep them occupied while we clean. The work needs to get done.

I hate Mondays too….

• I slept like a log last night - I had a few races of Mario Kart and then watched ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’ I really had to drag myself out of bed this morning.
• I’ve got a lot of inking to do for my comics, I hopefully will do a lot of them tonight (after I’ve gone on Wii Fit!)
• I have been uploading a lot of them onto my ComicSpace account so you can see them there!
• I’m also going to start putting my comic ideas down on paper so I can develop them further.

I seem to be getting the hang of this colouring lark!

I orignally thought to shade the image on paper, but that didn’t seem to work. Then I shaded it using dodge/burn, which worked out better.

Finally I tried a different way of colouring the image (base image layer etc) with paper shading and dodge/burn and this worked out a lot better!

If that is a real word. I seem to think up a word and then write it…when I look at it, it looks wrong?!

Anyhoo!

I managed to get through the comics I wanted to read while I was away, nothing that really blew me away, but some solid reads nevertheless!

The wife seems to have fully caught up on Big Brother (yeah, I know!), It keeps her happy - and me by extention!

Work seems to be piling up on me again - its like I never left, the printer went down and so did the email, net and drivers! - For about an hour! For half of that I spent on the phone to India sorting it out!

I am currently scanning more of my pictures that I did on holiday, plus still drawing some new ones! If you go to 3MY: Comics and click the link on the right saying Sketches & Doodles you will see my latest ones!

I am also having a go on Anime Studio to try some new things! I am actually using the tutorials!!!
